Procurement Manager - Joinery (Interior Fit-Out)

About the role

A client in Dubai is looking for a Procurement Manager specializing in joinery, to source and procure materials, furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) and other interior products for commercial and residential fit-out projects. The position is on-site in Dubai and requires at least 5 years of managerial experience in procurement for the luxury interior fit-out industry.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source reliable suppliers and vendors, and negotiate terms, pricing and delivery schedules
• Oversee procurement so materials meet design and quality specifications, and manage inventory to avoid delays
• Develop and manage procurement budgets, conduct cost comparisons and value engineering
• Build supplier relationships, evaluate them regularly and resolve delays, quality or delivery issues
• Coordinate with project managers and designers so delivery schedules match construction and installation phases
• Negotiate contracts covering pricing, delivery and warranties, and monitor compliance
• Ensure materials meet industry standards, building codes and project requirements, and inspect them for quality and safety
• Source eco-friendly materials and keep up to date with sustainable design and procurement standards
• Identify procurement risks such as supply chain disruption and budget overruns, and prepare contingency plans

Required profile

• Minimum of 10-15 years of procurement experience in interior fit-out, construction or related industries
• At least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing procurement for interior fit-out
• Experience sourcing materials, furniture, fixtures and equipment for commercial and residential fit-outs
• Certification such as CPM or CPSM is beneficial
