Procurement Officer – Emirati Talent

About the role

The Procurement Officer will manage the sourcing of local and international materials for LAHAB, the defence‑grade munitions manufacturer within EDGE Group. The role ensures that all procurement activities are performed accurately, cost‑effectively and in line with company policies, supporting uninterrupted production.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process purchase requisitions, maintaining logs in the ERP system.
• Identify and engage suppliers, obtain quotations and prepare techno‑commercial comparison sheets.
• Negotiate cost, quality, delivery timelines and service levels with suppliers.
• Prepare, review and issue purchase orders, contracts and related documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, logistics and requesting departments to align specifications and delivery schedules.
• Arrange pre‑delivery inspections and manage freight and shipping activities.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, audit files and track supplier performance.
• Handle claims for shortages, defects or non‑conformances and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Administration or a related field (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline (preferred).
• Minimum 24 months of procurement experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier negotiation and contract management.
