About the role
Join Baker Hughes' Procurement team in the UAE to manage the buying process for a range of goods supporting the CWI supply chain. You will act as the liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring specifications, budgets, and timelines are met.
Key responsibilities
- Place and follow up on purchase orders (POs) and manage supplier relationships for PO execution.
- Update the ERP system and handle schedule changes or problems.
- Gather market intelligence, assess supplier risk, and ensure compliance with KPIs.
- Develop proposals to improve procurement methods, procedures, and processes.
- Coordinate with local manufacturing, logistics, HQ procurement, and AP teams.
- Align procurement activities with global strategies and support special projects.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or a high school diploma with 4 years of experience.
- At least 1 year of sourcing/buying/procurement experience, preferably in the oil & gas or heavy‑industry sector.
- Experience with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) in an oil & gas environment.
- Based in the UAE and able to work onsite.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP and SAP Ariba.
- Knowledge of MRP concepts and ERP systems.
