Production Assembler

About the role

The Production Assembler will join Edge's POWERTECH centre of excellence, assembling advanced turbine and propulsion system components such as micro‑jet and turbofan engines. Working to strict engineering specifications, the role ensures each product meets aerospace safety, reliability and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute assembly tasks according to the approved production schedule and daily targets.
• Perform precise mechanical and electronic assembly of turbine and propulsion components using engineering drawings, work instructions and assembly procedures.
• Carry out fine alignment, fitment, torque‑controlled fastening, calibration and adjustment activities to achieve defined tolerances.
• Handle delicate parts with care to avoid damage during movement and assembly.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections throughout the process to verify compliance with product specifications.
• Apply high‑quality assembly practices to maximise yield and minimise rework or scrap.
• Ensure full compliance with AS9100, ISO standards and internal quality procedures.
• Collaborate with production, quality, engineering and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues.
