Program QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical (Substation & Power Transmission)

About the role

The Program QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical will lead the quality management system for large‑scale substation and power‑transmission projects in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, the role ensures compliance with client, contractual and ISO standards across multiple consultants and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Program Quality Management System (QMS) across all assigned projects.
• Monitor consultant and contractor compliance with approved Project Quality Plans, procedures and specifications.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, track findings, and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Collect, verify and consolidate monthly QA/QC reports, dashboards and KPI data for management review.
• Participate in site surveillance visits, review inspection records and ensure implementation of Inspection & Test Plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC roles on power or water transmission projects.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and engage stakeholders at all levels.
