Project Architect – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Architect to join a leading Tier‑1 architecture and engineering consultancy in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing architectural design, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high‑quality delivery throughout the construction phase.

Key responsibilities

• Review and comment on architectural submittals, shop drawings, method statements and as‑built drawings.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP and other disciplines to integrate designs and resolve technical issues.
• Respond to contractor RFIs, technical proposals and design‑related queries.
• Lead technical coordination meetings with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Manage and mentor site architects and architectural inspectors.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, quality standards and codes.
• Develop practical solutions for construction‑related design challenges.
• Review and approve architectural drawings, layouts, renderings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Prepare site observation reports and monitor construction progress.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and ensure adherence to local regulations and international standards.
• Assist with project estimation, quantity take‑offs, value engineering and cost reviews as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within a leading engineering consultancy.
• Prior GCC consultancy experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design, construction methodologies, local building codes and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
