Project Engineer – AV Integration

About the role

The Project Engineer will lead the technical delivery of audio‑visual integration projects, ensuring designs are complete, accurate and ready for installation. You will work closely with project managers, fabrication teams and field technicians to translate client requirements into practical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and finalize design documents, including scope of work, drawings, bill of materials and network coordination.
• Generate engineering deliverables such as infrastructure drawings, cable pull sheets, heat and power calculations, and structural assessments.
• Support project managers with submittal packages, budget monitoring and technical progress updates.
• Collaborate with installation, commissioning and programming teams, providing documentation, checklists and on‑site troubleshooting.
• Travel to job sites as needed to assist field operations and ensure successful hand‑over.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving ability and flexibility to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools for creating AV infrastructure drawings.
• Experience in DSP system programming and control system troubleshooting (e.g., AMX, Crestron, Q‑SYS).
• Knowledge of AV control programming concepts and test‑plan creation.
• Understanding of IP networking and AV/IT standards.
• Familiarity with test and calibration methodologies for AV equipment.
