Project Engineer – Fire Fighting Systems

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Project Engineer to lead fire fighting system projects across commercial, industrial and residential sites. You will be responsible for planning, executing and delivering fire protection solutions while ensuring compliance with safety standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end execution of fire fighting system projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards and local regulations.
• Coordinate activities between internal engineering, site, procurement and installation teams to achieve timely delivery.
• Supervise on‑site installation works, managing subcontractors and technicians to maintain high quality.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, fire safety codes (NFPA, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code) and project documentation to guide site operations.
• Monitor health, safety and environmental compliance, addressing any site safety concerns.
• Track project progress, update schedules, identify risks and implement corrective actions to meet milestones and budget.
• Maintain comprehensive project records, including material submittals, test certificates and as‑built documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to clients, main contractors and stakeholders from inception through handover and commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project engineering or site management within fire fighting, building services or MEP.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, local fire codes).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Mechanical engineering background with hands‑on experience in fire fighting system design, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in project planning, scheduling tools and project tracking systems.
• Familiarity with NFPA codes and UAE Fire & Life Safety Code.
• Advanced user of MS Office and relevant engineering or project management software.
