Project Engineer – Fire Rated Steel Doors

About the role

The Project Engineer – Fire Rated Steel Doors will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of fire‑rated steel door projects from design coordination through installation and handover. You will ensure compliance with fire safety standards, project timelines, quality requirements, and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end execution of fire‑rated steel door projects, coordinating design, production, procurement and site teams.
• Review shop drawings, IFC drawings and specifications to guarantee compliance with UL, NFPA, BS and EN fire‑rating standards.
• Coordinate material requirements with procurement and monitor manufacturing progress.
• Supervise on‑site installation, ensuring proper alignment, fixing and sealing of doors.
• Conduct inspections, maintain QA/QC documentation and ensure all products meet fire‑rating certifications.
• Act as primary contact for clients and consultants, providing progress updates and handling technical queries.
• Prepare project reports, schedules and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience with fire‑rated doors, steel fabrication or construction projects.
• Experience on GCC/UAE projects is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong command of MS Office.
• Knowledge of fire‑rated door standards (UL, NFPA, BS, EN).
