Project Engineer

About the role

As a Project Engineer you will oversee the technical, planning and coordination aspects of residential and high‑rise tower projects. You will support Project and Construction Managers, lead site engineering teams and act as the link between the site, consultants, design teams and subcontractors from execution through handover.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise civil and structural works across assigned towers, ensuring compliance with programme, budget and specifications.
• Review shop drawings, method statements and material submittals, and follow up on consultant approvals.
• Resolve design clashes and technical issues by collaborating with architectural, structural and MEP teams.
• Monitor progress against the baseline programme, flag delays and assist the Planning team with recovery plans.
• Manage Site Engineers and supervisors, reviewing daily site reports and work plans.
• Handle RFIs, technical queries and correspondence with consultants and client representatives.
• Support the commercial team with quantity take‑offs, variation assessments and subcontractor payment certifications.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures are followed, including inspection requests, NCR closure and material testing, and enforce HSE compliance on site.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Bachelor’s preferred).
• 8–12 years of construction experience, including at least 5 years in the UAE.
• Proven track record delivering residential and high‑rise tower projects (G+20 and above) with main contracting firms.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, DEWA and consultant approval processes, and understanding of FIDIC contract conditions.
