Project Engineer – New Product Development & Introduction

About the role

The Project Engineer is accountable for cross‑functional management of new product development and sustaining projects, coordinating engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, logistics and other groups to accelerate time‑to‑market. The role requires building credibility with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring projects meet schedule, cost and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate cross‑functional planning and execution to deliver projects on time, within budget and to scope.
• Monitor team schedules, coordinate critical‑path activities and provide executive‑level updates to senior management.
• Track project performance against schedule and cost, identify issues, drive decisions and implement contingency plans.
• Ensure adherence to the NPDI (New Product Development & Introduction) process and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of project management experience in manufacturing new‑product development.
• Hands‑on experience with waterfall (stage‑gate) methodology and risk‑management techniques.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to lead cross‑functional meetings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred) and PMP or similar training (optional).
