Project Engineer NPDI

About the role

The Project Engineer is responsible and accountable for the cross‑functional management of new product development and sustaining projects. These projects span functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate cross‑functional planning and project execution, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and meeting scope.
• Monitor team schedules and coordinate activities on the critical path.
• Provide executive‑level program updates to senior management and executive sponsors.
• Follow reporting and tracking programs to keep the project on target for schedule and cost.
• Identify key issues and drive decisions to prevent project slippage.
• Identify key risks and prepare contingency plans.
• Ensure projects follow the NPDI (New Product Development & Introduction) process.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in project management.
• Experience in new product development project management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with waterfall (stage‑gate) project management methodology.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of risk management and response methods.
• Familiarity with Gantt‑chart schedule management.
• Experience in communication management among stakeholders.
• Experience in project KPI reporting and planning.
• Demonstrated competence in problem‑solving, data analysis, and project planning.
• Experience leading cross‑functional meetings and presenting to small groups.
• Ability to quickly develop cross‑functional relationships to achieve business objectives.
• Process‑ and results‑oriented with a proven ability to accomplish goals.
• Experience with 3‑phase power distribution or Busbar products (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Project or Smartsheet (preferred).
• Strong communication skills at all organizational levels.
