Foreman - Production

About the role

The Foreman – Production is responsible for ensuring smooth plant operations and acts as the primary point of contact between factory workers and supervisors. The role involves coordinating daily tasks, managing schedules, overseeing quality, and reporting progress to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise shop‑floor workers and guide welders, fabricators, and helpers.
• Prepare daily attendance and production reports, controlling man‑hours.
• Check workmanship quality, obtain QC approval, and forward jobs to the next process.
• Issue tools, PPE, and consumables to welders and ensure safety meetings are held daily.
• Motivate employees to achieve high production and quality standards.
• Confirm job completion in SAP, including raw‑material, consumable requisitions, production order confirmation, and breakdown notifications.
• Verify welding procedures and standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Higher School or Diploma qualification.
• Fluency in Hindi and English (spoken).
• Ability to supervise journeymen and helpers and maintain effective inter‑departmental relationships.
• Capability to understand oral and written instructions, sketches, diagrams, and blueprints.

Required skills

• SAP (production planning module) – order confirmation, material and consumable requisition, breakdown notification.
• Welding and fabrication techniques.
• Metalworking knowledge of ferrous and non‑ferrous materials.
• Quality control procedures for welding work.
• Use and maintenance of standard tools and equipment.
