Project HSE Lead

About the role

The Project HSE Lead will develop, implement and monitor health, safety and environment programs for GHD projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, minimizes risk, and supports continuous improvement through data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design and roll out HSE policies, procedures and mandatory instructions to mitigate workplace and environmental risks.
• Prepare, organise and manage complex documentation and special reports using standard office software.
• Collect, collate and analyse data to produce analytics and compliance reports.
• Investigate incidents, conduct audits and provide expert advice to senior colleagues.
• Respond to internal and external queries, offering guidance on processes and policies.
• Support internal communications systems and advise on best use.
• Identify risky behaviours, recommend corrective actions and escalate serious issues.
• Maintain professional development through training, conferences and industry literature.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of relevant HSE experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
