Project Manager – Desert Sting (Emirati Talent)

About the role

The Project Manager for the Desert Sting programme will lead high‑scale, complex defence projects at HALCON in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive projects from concept through design, testing, manufacturing and delivery, ensuring they meet strategic, budgetary and quality objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Programme Manager in implementing programme vision, strategies, procedures, tools and standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans across cross‑functional teams to meet development goals and milestones.
• Define scope, deliverables, functional milestones, resources, operating plans, budgets and timelines for all assigned projects.
• Identify and allocate technical skill sets and resources, engaging internal teams as required.
• Resolve project issues creatively, optimise resource sharing and ensure maximum benefit.
• Create and apply project assessment protocols, audits and health‑check procedures.
• Collaborate with System Engineers and design teams to develop System Engineering Management Plans, TEMP, QAP and CMP.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of project management experience.
• Emirati nationality, as the role is targeted to local talent.
• Experience working in defence or weapons‑systems environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software tools.
• In‑depth knowledge of missile and weapon‑systems development and production processes.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of UAE and international defence industry regulations and standards.
