Project Manager IMU – Navigation

About the role

The Project Manager – IMU Navigation will lead the delivery of complex navigation subsystem programmes for a high‑tech, mission‑critical environment. Reporting to senior leadership, the role oversees projects from concept through to successful completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, budget, schedule and performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and deliver Navigation Subsystem projects, defining scope, milestones, resources and budgets.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop system‑engineering, testing, quality and configuration‑management plans.
• Ensure deliverables meet contractual, technical and organisational standards.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders to align outcomes with business goals and customer expectations.
• Monitor project performance, budgets and resource utilisation, driving on‑time and cost‑effective delivery.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish governance, reporting and communication processes for leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage project changes with appropriate controls and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex engineering projects, preferably in navigation or related subsystems.
• Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and communicate with senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated competence in risk management, budget control and schedule adherence.
• Experience working in a mission‑critical, technically demanding environment.
