Public Health Communications Specialist – Remote Expert Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Public Health Communications Specialist to support a leading AI lab in training its language model on professional health‑related documents. This remote, part‑time position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to shape AI‑generated content for public agencies, health systems, and NGOs.

Key responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI‑generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks for outbreak messaging, plain‑language health guidance, media statements, campaign materials, stakeholder briefings, and surveillance reports.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to ensure outputs meet public‑health communication standards.
• Provide feedback on model performance and suggest improvements.
• Maintain high quality and consistency across all deliverables.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in public health communications, health journalism, or a public‑agency communications role.
• Proven ownership of risk‑communication or health‑guidance materials for public or clinical audiences.
• Excellent written communication and meticulous attention to detail.
