Purchasing Manager – FMCG Procurement

About the role

The Purchasing Manager will lead procurement activities for fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG), ensuring timely sourcing, cost optimisation and strong supplier relationships to support Gomla Hub’s wholesale operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that guarantee continuous product availability while maximising profitability.
• Source, negotiate and secure commercial terms with manufacturers, importers, distributors and FMCG suppliers.
• Identify new suppliers and build long‑term strategic partnerships.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, rebates, promotional support and supply agreements.
• Monitor market trends, product availability, competitor pricing and supply‑chain developments.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Evaluate supplier performance on pricing, quality, service, delivery and reliability.
• Collaborate with Sales, Warehouse and Finance teams for efficient inventory planning and stock availability.
• Monitor inventory levels, forecast purchasing needs and minimise stock shortages or excess.
• Ensure timely processing of purchase orders and follow‑up on deliveries.
• Review procurement reports and purchasing performance for management.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics or a related field.
• Professional procurement or supply‑chain certifications are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager, Procurement Manager or Senior Buyer, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Proven track record purchasing FMCG products from manufacturers, importers, distributors and wholesale suppliers.
• Established supplier network in the UAE FMCG market is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting wholesale distribution businesses is highly preferred.
• Valid UAE driving licence; own vehicle preferred.
• Willingness to travel within the UAE for supplier meetings and negotiations.
