Purchasing Manager – Food & Ingredients

About the role

The Purchasing Manager will lead the sourcing of raw materials, ingredients and packaging for Organic Pizza’s production lines in Dubai. This senior role ensures a reliable supply chain, cost‑effective procurement and compliance with all food safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee purchasing of raw materials, ingredients and packaging, including international imports.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure best pricing and service levels.
• Provide accurate cost data to finance for purchase orders and manufacturing cost calculations.
• Collaborate with R&D to source materials for new product projects.
• Coordinate with QA to verify that suppliers meet technical specifications and regulatory standards.
• Work daily with logistics to guarantee on‑time deliveries and avoid production shortages.
• Maintain up‑to‑date price lists and codification of all raw materials, ingredients and packaging.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in food‑industry purchasing, preferably with slaughter‑house or animal‑protein products.
• Strong knowledge of authority certifications and regulations such as USDA, FDA, EU, HACCP, ISO and GMP.
• Proven ability to manage import permits and export documentation for animal proteins and ingredients.
• Auditing experience in the food and feed sector.
• Strategic planning skills for sourcing domestic and imported raw materials.
