Purchasing Officer – Hotel Procurement

About the role

The Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina is seeking a proactive Purchasing Officer to manage procurement activities for its new 280‑room hotel. You will ensure cost‑effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards and supporting seamless hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Research and evaluate new vendors, obtain competitive quotations and negotiate terms.
• Monitor stock levels, identify purchasing needs and source appropriate suppliers.
• Track orders, confirm deliveries and coordinate with internal departments to meet requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, including dates, invoices, discounts, purchase orders and contracts.
• Update internal databases with order details and follow up with suppliers as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience in a four‑ or five‑star hotel environment.
• Hands‑on experience with purchasing software such as Adaco, FBM or Jana System.
• Good understanding of market research and supply‑chain procedures.
• Ability to work with multicultural teams and communicate effectively.
• Detail‑oriented, quality‑focused and able to meet deadlines.
