Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Presight Solutions is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join its data testing team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on validating data pipelines, transformations, and dimensional models built on Microsoft Fabric, ensuring data accuracy and readiness for analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute end‑to‑end data testing for Fabric‑based pipelines.
• Validate data ingestion into Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse layers.
• Perform source‑to‑target reconciliation (row counts, aggregates, checksums).
• Validate transformations implemented via Fabric Data Factory Gen2, Dataflows, and Spark notebooks (PySpark).
• Check dimensional data models, business rules, and derived metrics.
• Define and run data quality checks (completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness).
• Validate data lineage, metadata, and governance artifacts in Microsoft Purview and MDM systems.
• Develop automated data validation scripts using SQL, Python or PySpark.
• Support performance, regression, UAT and production data validation.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI teams and Analysts to track and resolve defects.

Required profile

• At least 6 years of experience in data testing, data validation and ETL/ELT testing.
• Strong background in modern cloud data platforms, especially Microsoft Fabric.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and maintain test documentation.
