Quality Calibration Engineer

About the role

The Quality Calibration Engineer will ensure calibrated items meet stringent quality standards within the Calibration Laboratory. This role involves performing end‑item quality checks, maintaining metrological traceability, and guaranteeing compliance with ISO 17025 and EAIC requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform end‑item quality control checks on calibrated items and validate results for compliance.
• Verify metrological traceability of laboratory equipment and ensure Calibration Measurement Capability (CMC) is up‑to‑date.
• Conduct scheduled or random line audits to confirm preventive maintenance and intermediate checking records follow procedures.
• Review calibration certificates for accuracy and ISO 17025/EAIC compliance before release.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Engineering degree advantageous).
• Minimum five years of experience in calibration activities.
• Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 quality and technical auditing requirements.
• Proficient written and verbal communication in English.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (advanced Excel).
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
• Ability to perform uncertainty measurement computations (preferred).
