Quality Engineer I – PowerTech Center of Excellence

About the role

The Quality Engineer I will ensure that products, processes and services meet EDGE's rigorous quality standards, customer requirements and regulatory obligations. You will support continuous‑improvement initiatives, analyse performance data and work closely with cross‑functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with internal QMS, customer, industry and regulatory requirements and participate in audits.
• Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection processes and metrics to track product and process performance.
• Investigate non‑conformities, conduct root‑cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone and Pareto, and lead CAPA activities.
• Drive continuous‑improvement programs (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) and share best practices across teams.
• Collect, analyse and report quality data, create dashboards and KPI reports, and provide data‑driven recommendations.
• Support customer quality issues, supplier qualification, and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in quality engineering, assurance or control within a structured QMS.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ISO 9001 Internal or Lead Auditor are desirable.
• Proven ability to conduct root‑cause analysis, lead audits and implement corrective actions.

• Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO 9001 knowledge.
• CAPA processes and root‑cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis).
• Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen methodologies.
• Microsoft Office and quality reporting tools.
• Statistical analysis and data‑driven decision making.
