Quantity Surveyor – Concrete & Cement Specialist

About the role

Gutmann Middle East is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in concrete, cement and precast projects. The successful candidate will lead cost estimation, tender preparation and commercial control while leveraging AI‑driven tools and BIM integration to boost accuracy and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare precise quantity take‑offs from drawings, specifications and BIM models.
• Develop detailed cost estimates and tender packages for cement, ready‑mix concrete and precast works.
• Analyse BOQs, subcontractor quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
• Monitor project costs, prepare interim valuations, payment applications and variation claims.
• Produce cash‑flow forecasts, cost reports and profitability analyses.
• Implement AI‑based estimation software and automated quantity‑take‑off solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement and client teams to ensure commercial compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Hands‑on experience with concrete, cement and precast construction projects.
• Proven ability to use AI‑enabled estimation tools and BIM‑integrated cost platforms.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in cost benchmarking and forecasting.
