About the role
The joint venture PULSE NOVA, formed by EDGE and INDRA, is looking for a skilled Radar Hardware Engineer to develop advanced radar subsystems and mission‑critical electronic solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop analog, digital and mixed‑signal hardware assemblies for radar subsystems, including power conditioning, control, synchronization and high‑speed interfaces.
- Translate system requirements into hardware architectures, schematics, component selections, interface definitions and detailed documentation.
- Support PCB layout, ensuring signal integrity, power integrity, thermal performance, EMC/EMI compliance, manufacturability and testability.
- Perform hardware bring‑up, functional verification, debugging and root‑cause analysis using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and logic analyzers.
- Collaborate with RF, antenna, FPGA, embedded software, mechanical and systems teams to guarantee proper electrical, thermal and mechanical integration.
- Define and execute verification, validation, qualification and environmental test activities in line with program and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in design reviews, configuration control, non‑conformance investigations and corrective actions throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support industrialisation, component obsolescence management, failure analysis and continuous reliability improvement.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hardware design for industrial, aerospace, defence or other high‑reliability environments.
- Strong background in analog and digital electronics, schematic capture, component selection, board‑level design and hardware debugging.
- Hands‑on experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, logic analyzers and programmable power supplies.
- Familiarity with PCB development processes, high‑speed design constraints, EMC/EMI considerations and DFM/DFA principles.
- Proven ability to produce structured technical documentation, verification procedures, test reports and engineering change records.
