Rail System Engineering Lead

About the role

RINA Consulting is seeking a Rail System Engineering Lead to join its Project Engineering Division in Abu Dhabi. The role is responsible for the technical execution of high‑value, complex rail projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate technical assessments and feasibility studies during the proposal phase.
• Integrate multidisciplinary technical contributions to develop accurate proposals and quantify required resources.
• Oversee technical delivery, monitor progress, and adjust plans to meet project milestones.
• Lead the project engineering team, assign tasks, and ensure efficient execution.
• Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and the Discipline Manager to maintain cohesive project execution.
• Implement and monitor quality control measures, enforcing compliance with project standards.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and address compliance issues promptly.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation and prepare accurate reports and presentations for clients.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering technical development.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical execution of high‑value, complex engineering projects.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary technical contributions and manage project resources.
• Experience supervising technical implementation and leading engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of quality control, compliance, and safety standards in rail or similar infrastructure projects.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
