Refrigeration Technician – Commercial & Supermarket Systems

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Technician to deliver high‑quality maintenance and repair services on a variety of commercial refrigeration systems. You will work directly with customers to ensure optimal performance of their equipment and high levels of satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of refrigerant devices and systems.
• Overhaul open and semi‑hermetic compressors.
• Maintain and repair condensing units, condensers and centralized refrigeration racks.
• Service remote and plug‑in cabinets, walk‑in chillers/freezers, blast freezers and chillers.
• Program and troubleshoot electronic and mechanical refrigeration controllers and remote monitoring systems.
• Maintain and repair ice machines (e.g., Scotsman).
• Interpret layout drawings, install piping and refrigeration equipment.
• Braze and repair defective joints and leaks.
• Test system operations using gauges and instruments, adjust valves and charge systems with the correct refrigerant.
• Estimate, order, collect and install required materials and supplies.
• Install expansion and control valves using proper tools and techniques.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of repairs, replacements and causes of malfunctions.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in commercial refrigeration.
• Strong knowledge of supermarket refrigeration systems such as parallel rack systems, display cases and plug‑ins.
• Valid UAE driver’s licence.
• Willingness to work on‑call and respond to emergency service calls outside regular hours.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders and work in cold environments.
