Regional Tax Manager

About the role

Join a leading heavy‑lifting and transportation company as the Regional Tax Manager based in Dubai. You will oversee tax compliance across the Middle East, APAC and Africa, guiding the business through audits, restructurings and complex transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with local corporate tax, withholding tax and VAT legislation and file returns on time.
• Maintain compliance trackers, develop review programmes and resolve tax assessments.
• Lead tax audits, manage associated fees and authorise monthly tax payments.
• Provide tax advisory on business transactions, acquisitions and restructuring to minimise tax costs.
• Review and update tax policies, keep the business informed of legislative changes and support statutory audits.
• Oversee proper accounting recognition of current and deferred taxes in local ERP systems.
• Coordinate tax reporting with Group Tax, local finance teams, external authorities and auditors.
• Manage transfer‑pricing documentation and support legal‑entity consolidation or reduction exercises.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Tax Law or a related field with professional certification.
• 5‑7 years of experience in tax management, preferably in civil engineering, construction, renewables, oil & gas, offshore, ports or mining.
• Proven track record in tax compliance, regulatory adherence and providing tax advice.
• Strong understanding of financial principles and tax accounting.
• Fluent English – both written and spoken.
