Resident Engineer - Electrical OHL

About the role

The Resident Engineer – Electrical will lead and manage overhead transmission line projects from initiation through closeout. This role ensures projects meet objectives, schedules, budgets, and regulatory requirements while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all phases of overhead transmission line projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and conformity.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and services with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Supervise construction activities such as tower erection, conductor stringing, and hardware installation, conducting site inspections and HSE audits.
• Manage project documentation, contracts, permits, NOCs, and as‑built records, and oversee project closeout and certification.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical engineering focused on overhead line projects.
• Extensive knowledge of transmission line design, construction, tower configurations, conductor types, and insulation methods.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PLS‑CADD.
• Proficiency with PLS‑POLE.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
