Resident Engineer – Electrical Overhead Transmission Lines

About the role

The Resident Engineer – Electrical will lead and manage overhead transmission line projects from initiation through close‑out, ensuring they meet schedule, budget, and quality targets. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans and oversee execution on site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all phases of overhead transmission line projects, from scope definition to final commissioning.
• Review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and regulations.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and services with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Supervise construction activities such as tower erection, conductor stringing, and hardware installation, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Conduct regular site inspections, HSE audits, quality assurance checks, and progress review meetings.
• Verify as‑built documentation, certify materials and work measurements, and manage project close‑out documentation.
• Maintain project records, contracts, permits, NOCs, and reports for accurate communication.
• Provide technical guidance to the project team, resolve technical queries, and mitigate risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in overhead transmission line engineering and construction.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale projects, lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
