Resident Engineer – On‑site Construction Lead

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Resident Engineer to act as the on‑site representative for our Abu Dhabi project. You will oversee construction activities, ensure quality standards, and serve as the communication bridge between contractors, consultants, and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of workmanship, materials, and construction activities to verify compliance with project specifications and UAE building codes.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and laborers to maintain schedule adherence and efficient execution.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and change orders promptly.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including daily reports, inspection logs, and technical records.
• Identify and resolve on‑site technical issues, proposing innovative solutions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project managers to address concerns and ensure transparent communication.
• Monitor project budgets and schedules, reporting variances and recommending corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering or construction management.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes and safety regulations.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams on large‑scale projects.
• Excellent technical report writing and documentation skills.
