Restaurant Hostess (Arabic‑Speaking, Female)

About the role

The Restaurant Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at Fairmont Ajman, ensuring a welcoming and professional dining experience. Fluency in Arabic is required to assist Arabic‑speaking guests and manage reservations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
• Manage the reservation system, including booking, confirming and updating reservations.
• Organise seating arrangements to ensure smooth guest flow and service efficiency.
• Communicate wait times and escort guests to tables, providing menus and information on specials.
• Handle guest inquiries, especially for Arabic‑speaking guests, and coordinate with the service team.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the host stand, lobby and dining area.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (speaking and writing); additional languages a plus.
• Professional, friendly and approachable demeanor with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, remain calm during busy periods and work flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Excellent communication in Arabic and English.
• Familiarity with reservation systems.
