Restaurant Waiter/Waitress – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a courteous and professional Restaurant Waiter/Waitress to join our Food & Beverage team at a luxury hotel in Dubai. The successful candidate will serve food and beverages, ensure guest satisfaction and support sales through upselling, while upholding the hotel’s high standards and Kempinski values.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional and efficient service at all times, reporting to the Head Waiter/Waitress, Supervisor, Assistant Manager and Outlet Manager.
• Perform all outlet duties and tasks, maintaining thorough knowledge of the hotel’s services, products and food‑and‑beverage menu.
• Explain menu items and upsell effectively, offering alternatives when appropriate.
• Monitor operating supplies and equipment, reducing spoilage and waste.
• Keep the work area clean and organized; execute opening and closing procedures for the outlet.
• Handle guest enquiries courteously, report and follow up on complaints promptly.
• Operate the existing POS system according to the assigned responsibility level.
• Adhere strictly to hotel policies, including fire safety, hygiene, health and safety regulations.
• Assist with scheduled inventories of products and equipment.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a food & beverage service role.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with hotel staff, clients and vendors.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Professional, confidential and ethical approach at all times.
• Capability to identify tasks and delegate effectively when required.
