Retail Sales Assistant – Market Hall

About the role

The Sales Assistant works in the market hall area of IKEA Jebel Ali, generating sales and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Reporting to the shopkeeper, the role combines direct customer interaction with operational duties such as product arrangement and floor maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Generate sales and ensure a positive customer experience in the market hall.
• Meet or exceed weekly sales targets and contribute to overall store objectives.
• Greet customers promptly with a smile and provide up‑to‑date product information.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and adhere to IKEA standards.
• Participate in inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Complete additional duties assigned by the shopkeeper and attend store meetings.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 1 year retail sales experience.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Physical fitness to lift stock items and stand for at least 8 hours.
• Ability to follow schedules and store policies consistently.
