Risk Based Inspection Engineer – Offshore Project

About the role

KBR is seeking a highly experienced Risk Based Inspection (RBI) Engineer to lead offshore asset integrity initiatives. You will develop, implement and maintain RBI programs for pressure equipment and piping systems, ensuring optimal inspection intervals and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RBI assessments for offshore facilities using API 580 and API 581 methodologies.
• Conduct qualitative, semi‑quantitative and quantitative RBI studies on vessels, piping, heat exchangers, tanks and related equipment.
• Review and update RBI assessments based on inspection results, operational changes and corrosion data.
• Perform integrity assessments, create inspection plans, and oversee corrosion control programs.
• Analyze NDT results, corrosion monitoring data and remaining life calculations to identify damage mechanisms.
• Support turnaround inspection planning and execution.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in offshore asset integrity and RBI program management.
• Strong knowledge of API 580/581 standards and pressure equipment inspection.
• Ability to collaborate with inspection, corrosion, operations, maintenance and engineering teams.
• Proven track record of optimizing inspection strategies and improving equipment reliability.
