Risk Based Inspection (RBI) Engineer – Offshore Project

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Risk Based Inspection (RBI) Engineer to lead offshore asset integrity initiatives. You will develop, implement and maintain RBI programs for pressure equipment, piping, and storage tanks, ensuring optimal inspection intervals and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain RBI assessments for offshore facilities using API 580 and API 581 methodologies.
• Conduct qualitative, semi‑quantitative and quantitative RBI studies for vessels, piping, heat exchangers, tanks and related equipment.
• Establish optimized inspection strategies and intervals based on risk profiles and update them with new inspection data.
• Perform integrity assessments, create inspection plans, corrosion control programs and fitness‑for‑service evaluations.
• Review inspection reports, NDT results, corrosion monitoring data and remaining life calculations.
• Support turnaround inspection planning and execution.
• Evaluate corrosion threats, recommend mitigation measures and support corrosion management programs.
• Ensure compliance with API 580, API 581, API 510, API 570, API 653, ASME codes and NACE/AMPP standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in RBI, asset integrity or related fields, preferably in offshore oil & gas.
• Strong knowledge of API and ASME codes applicable to pressure equipment and storage tanks.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with inspection, corrosion, operations, maintenance and engineering teams.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret inspection data and corrosion trends.
