Production Engineer – PCB Assembly Operations

About the role

The Production Engineer II will study and define how PCB assembly products are manufactured, optimise processes for quality, cost and waste, and lead the industrialisation from prototype to mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead industrialisation, including tooling, fixture design and automation, to ensure smooth transition from prototype to volume production.
• Collaborate with the Design for Advanced Manufacturing (DFAM) function for new products.
• Identify and manage discrepancies between engineering and manufacturing data packs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
• Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate production issues across departments and implement engineering changes on the shop floor.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Production Engineer, preferably in the defence sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; fluency in English required.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Production Engineering or related discipline.

Required skills

• Electronics (PCBA) manufacturing expertise.
• IPC‑A‑610 and J‑STD‑001 trainer‑level certification.
• Working knowledge of MES systems and ERP integration.
• Data analytics for process control.
• Tooling, fixture design and automation capabilities.
