Road Safety Manager

About the role

Amalgam UAE is looking for an experienced Road Safety Manager to support RTA maintenance projects across Dubai. The role involves overseeing road safety activities, conducting audits, investigating crash sites, and managing traffic diversions for a variety of infrastructure works.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and manage Road Safety Audits (RSA) for roads, junctions, tunnels, bridges and other structures at all project stages.
• Apply the Safe System Approach to identify and mitigate road safety risks.
• Carry out road safety studies and crash site investigations.
• Review and recommend improvements for temporary traffic diversions and traffic management during maintenance works.
• Coordinate road safety matters with clients, consultants, contractors and site teams.
• Lead road safety reviews from concept design through detailed design and implementation.
• Mentor junior staff on road safety procedures and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Transportation or Traffic Engineering or related field.
• 5‑8+ years of experience in road or traffic safety, preferably with Dubai RTA projects.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai RTA standards, procedures and maintenance project requirements.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
