Room Attendant – Luxury Hotel Housekeeping

About the role

InterContinental Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated Room Attendant to join its Housekeeping team. The role involves delivering high‑standard cleaning and preparation of guest rooms, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment that reflects the luxury brand.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms according to InterContinental standards, including making beds, changing linens, and sanitising bathrooms.
• Replenish amenities, towels, and supplies, and ensure rooms are ready for guest arrival within the scheduled timeframe.
• Inspect room equipment and fixtures, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Handle lost‑and‑found items and respect guest privacy and confidentiality.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned corridors, service areas, and housekeeping equipment.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping Supervisors, Front Office, Engineering and other departments to ensure efficient room turnover.
• Support deep‑cleaning projects and adhere to health, safety, hygiene and security procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Room Attendant or similar housekeeping role, preferably in a luxury or international hotel.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and follow established procedures.
• Professional grooming and presentation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping standards and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Basic understanding of room equipment operation and reporting.
