Rust Engineer – High‑Performance Financial Services

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Rust Engineer to join Astra Tech’s international team in Abu Dhabi. You will work in a fully English‑speaking, multicultural environment developing a core internet lending platform that delivers high‑availability, low‑latency financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain modules such as loan origination, risk decisioning, transaction processing and ledger.
• Write clean, idiomatic Rust code, create unit and integration tests, and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to Domain‑Driven Design modelling and micro‑services architecture discussions.
• Use AI‑assisted coding tools to generate, refactor and test code.
• Optimize performance, resolve memory‑safety issues, concurrency races and database bottlenecks to meet financial‑grade SLAs.
• Collaborate with global developers in English through reviews and technical discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of backend development experience with a systems language (Rust, Go, Java or C++).
• Strong understanding of concurrency, memory management and asynchronous programming.
• Fluent English for technical communication.
