Safety Officer

About the role

The Safety Officer will lead health, safety and environmental (HSE) initiatives on high‑rise tower construction sites in Dubai, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies on high‑rise tower construction sites.
• Conduct site safety inspections, identify hazards and enforce corrective actions.
• Monitor work at height, scaffolding, tower cranes and lifting operations.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and ensure proper use of PPE.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports and maintain safety records.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years UAE construction experience, preferably on high‑rise tower projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction safety regulations, HSE procedures and risk‑assessment requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with project managers, engineers and subcontractors.

Required skills

• Working at heights, scaffolding, tower cranes, lifting operations, formwork and concrete works.
• Permit‑to‑work systems, toolbox talks, site inspections, incident investigation and emergency response procedures.
• Preparation of risk assessments, method statements, safety reports and HSE documentation.
