Sales Manager – Groups and Events

About the role

The Sales Manager – Groups and Events will be responsible for driving group and banquet business for the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi. You will manage leads from the sales team and direct client inquiries, guiding prospects from proposal through on‑site execution.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all group and banqueting leads, maintaining close relationships with clients from proposal to event delivery.
• Liaise with sales account managers on corporate or group issues and ensure internal communication.
• Review weekly function bookings to confirm that all business is live, tracked and confirmed.
• Ensure all group and catering contracts comply with hotel policies and sound commercial judgment.
• Apply credit and collection procedures in line with established hotel policies.
• Develop professional conference and incentive sales proposals that win business.
• Utilise Opera Envision systems to check reservations, room type and function space availability.
• Apply up‑selling techniques and maintain strong hotel product knowledge.
• Maintain accurate records of all sales agreements, contracts and quotes.
• Participate in site inspections and support potential and current customers based on business priorities.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of experience in group, banquet or event sales within the hospitality sector.
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to manage contractual agreements.
• Excellent communication and liaison skills with internal teams and external clients.
• Proficiency in using Opera Envision or similar hotel reservation systems.
