Scaffolding Designer – Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Scaffolding Designer to join our construction team in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves creating detailed scaffolding designs and supporting site execution for a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed scaffolding design drawings, layouts and 3D models using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
• Perform structural calculations and load assessments for suspended, cantilever, birdcage and heavy‑duty scaffolding systems.
• Ensure designs comply with UAE regulations, international standards (BS, EN, OSHA) and project safety requirements.
• Review construction drawings, identify scaffolding needs and propose practical solutions.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, construction and HSE teams to resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical support during erection, modification and dismantling, and conduct site visits to verify compliance.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments, calculations and other documentation for design approvals.
• Liaise with consultants, clients and authorities regarding design approvals and technical queries.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of scaffolding design experience, preferably on UAE construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems, structural calculations and load assessments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with 3D modelling/design software.
• Understanding of BS, EN, OSHA and UAE safety regulations.
