School Supervisor

About the role

The School Supervisor ensures a safe, orderly, and disciplined learning environment across the campus. Working closely with teachers, prefects, and parents, the role focuses on minimizing infractions and supporting student well‑being throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct corridor, bathroom and classroom checks before the start of the day to guarantee cleanliness and safety.
• Coordinate student line‑ups before, during and after recess with SLO® prefects to maintain order.
• Manage transition times between classes to avoid wasted periods.
• Mentor students on the importance of discipline for a secure learning atmosphere.
• Maintain a quiet environment as students re‑enter classrooms after breaks.
• Ensure timely student attendance at the beginning of each day.
• Motivate students to engage fully in classroom activities.
• Enter attendance, infractions and other data into the SABIS® School Management System (SSMS).
• Contact and follow up with parents regarding student absences.
• Observe classes to uphold a calm learning setting.
• Prevent bullying and fighting, ensuring overall school safety.
• Communicate disciplinary actions such as detentions.
• Escort students to the bus area after school and verify correct bus assignments.
• Prepare daily reports on teacher observations, student infractions and complaints.
• Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss behavior concerns.
• Undertake additional tasks delegated by school management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.
• Proficient or native English language skills.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
