Science Teacher (GCSE) – August 2026

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join GEMS FirstPoint School in Dubai from August 2026. The role involves delivering the British curriculum to GCSE students and contributing to the school’s vibrant academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess high‑quality Science lessons for GCSE classes.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and produce regular reports.
• Utilise classroom technology to enhance learning experiences.
• Participate in co‑curricular and extra‑curricular activities, including ECA coordination and career guidance.
• Uphold GEMS policies, procedures and core values.
• Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and external partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Science discipline.
• Qualified teacher status (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching Science at GCSE level.
• Commitment to inclusive, personalised education.
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Strong subject knowledge in Science.
• Ability to design engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons.
• Effective classroom management and assessment techniques.
• Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
