Secondary Mathematics Teacher (KS3/4)

About the role

Star International School is looking for a qualified secondary mathematics teacher to deliver the KS3 and KS4 curriculum to Year 7‑11 students. The role combines classroom teaching with pastoral care and contributes to the school’s vision of fostering independent learning and compassion.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons for Year 7‑11, covering the Edexcel IGCSE syllabus.
• Provide pastoral support and act as a mentor for students.
• Collaborate with key stage leaders, senior management, and parents to monitor progress.
• Participate in in‑school INSET sessions and contribute to curriculum development.
• Research and implement new teaching initiatives, evaluating their impact.

Required profile

• British teaching qualification (Bachelor’s degree plus recognized teaching credential).
• Minimum two years recent experience teaching KS3/KS4 mathematics.
• Strong knowledge of current UK practice and the Edexcel IGCSE curriculum.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive attitude toward innovation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ICT for lesson planning and delivery.
• Ability to use Assessment for Learning (AFL) strategies effectively.
