Section Head / Site Engineer – Railway Project

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Section Head / Site Engineer to lead a dedicated team on a major railway infrastructure project. The role involves overseeing all site activities within an assigned section, ensuring safe, efficient, and quality‑driven execution in line with approved drawings and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities for the assigned railway section.
• Manage site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and operatives.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and ITPs.
• Coordinate with consultants, suppliers and other project disciplines.
• Monitor progress against the approved programme and prepare daily/weekly reports.
• Review drawings, identify technical issues and resolve site constraints.
• Arrange inspections, material approvals and quality‑control documentation.
• Maintain HSE compliance and promote a safe working environment.
• Track manpower, material, equipment and resource requirements.
• Facilitate interfaces between civil, structural, MEP, track and other railway works.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8–12 years of construction experience on railway, metro, or large‑scale transportation projects.
• Proven track record in site supervision and section management.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings, specifications, QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and solve technical problems on site.
• UAE driving licence is an advantage.
