Security and Business Resilience Lead – Middle East

About the role

Trafigura is seeking a regional leader for Security & Business Resilience across the Middle East. The role safeguards personnel, assets and operations by identifying, assessing and managing physical security risks in a complex, multi‑jurisdictional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a regional security plan aligned with the global framework, including governance, policies and standards.
• Provide specialist physical‑security advice to trading, operations and subsidiary teams, ensuring risk‑informed decisions.
• Lead business‑resilience programmes, crisis response frameworks and business‑continuity planning for the region.
• Oversee travel security, coordinate with external suppliers and respond to incidents affecting travelers.
• Conduct security reviews, testing and vulnerability assessments, proposing proportionate solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with law‑enforcement, security service providers and other external partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of corporate security or business‑resilience experience, preferably leading a security function.
• Proven ability to engage C‑level executives, senior managers and external partners.
• Experience working in global organisations with exposure to logistics, maritime and multi‑site operations.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time and fluency in English.
