Director of Cybersecurity

About the role

Besins Healthcare, a fast‑growing international pharmaceutical company, is undergoing a digital transformation toward a cloud‑enabled, data‑centric environment. The Director of Cybersecurity will embed security, compliance and resilience into this transformation, acting as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the enterprise cybersecurity strategy, governance framework and multi‑year roadmap aligned with regulated pharma objectives.
• Own the cyber risk management framework, ensuring compliance with GxP, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, NIS2 and other industry standards.
• Embed Security‑by‑Design principles across cloud platforms, enterprise applications and data ecosystems.
• Oversee security operations, vulnerability management, incident response and crisis management.
• Define and strengthen identity and access management, data protection, least‑privilege and zero‑trust models.
• Promote a strong security culture through awareness programs and shared accountability.
• Build and lead a high‑performing cybersecurity team while advising executives, regulators and auditors.

Required profile

• 12‑15+ years of experience in cybersecurity and IT risk, with senior leadership roles such as Director of Cybersecurity, Head of Security or CISO.
• Proven experience in regulated environments (pharma, healthcare, manufacturing) and in guiding digital/cloud transformations.
• Track record of building or transforming security functions and managing enterprise risk programs.

Required skills

• ISO 27001, NIST, NIS2, GDPR, GxP compliance knowledge.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero‑Trust architecture.
• Cloud security, vulnerability management and incident response.
• Security architecture and Security‑by‑Design implementation.
