Security Engineer I – UAE Based

About the role

We are looking for a Security Engineer to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle and protect our cloud‑native infrastructure. The role supports engineering teams across FinTech, Gaming and Marketing domains, ensuring applications are resilient, compliant and built to last.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate security into the SDLC, conduct threat modeling and risk assessments before code ships.
• Automate security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC) within CI/CD pipelines.
• Harden Kubernetes and Docker environments using RBAC, network policies and least‑privilege controls.
• Implement security guardrails in Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub, Azure DevOps or Bitbucket pipelines.
• Secure workloads on Azure, AWS and GCP, strengthening IAM, MFA and RBAC.
• Investigate alerts, perform root‑cause analysis and support incident response.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps and QA to remediate vulnerabilities and design secure‑by‑default systems.
• Enhance software supply‑chain security with SBOMs, dependency scanning and secret detection.
• Support audits and maintain compliance with ISO 27001, NIST CSF and CIS Benchmarks.
• Deliver secure‑coding sessions and security awareness training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Application Security, Security Engineering, DevSecOps or Cloud Security.
• Hands‑on experience securing web applications, REST APIs, containers and cloud‑native workloads.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, Docker and at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS or GCP).
